SATKAL Trust established by Philanthropihist S Jagindar Singh Ramdev in the year 2000 is an International Trust. Every Year SATKAL Trust honors four/five eminent librarians of the world with Memento, shawls, award and citations etc. These award are given to the library professionals on the basis of their Qualifications and Contributions to the profession. The credit for honoring such qualified library professionals goes to S. Jagindar Singh Ramdev who single handedly provide all the monetary support for the smooth running of trust and Annual functions. He has given librarians a platform to meet and interact with the eminent professional and colleagues. S. Jagindar Singh Ramdev has given a new ray of hope to the much ignored library professionals, that the work of librarians is being recognized. His such a great effort has motivated all the librarians to work more hard and to develop their professional capability. SATKAL is reaching every nook and corner of the country through its four/five prestigious awards. While selecting the awardees due weightage is given to all the regions, each age group and each category of the professionals so that talented, committed and dedicated persons are recognized.

SATKAL Awards 2025: Call for Nominations
Nominations are invited for the Satinder Kaur Ramdev Memorial Trust for Advancement of Librarianship (SATKAL) Awards for the year 2025. These awards are given to individuals for their unique contributions to the Library and Information Science profession and the advancement of librarianship. The closing date for receiving nominations is 13 March 2026.Kindly send your nominations for the following awards:

4.SATKAL Rural Community Librarian Award-2025
Eligibility: Library and Information Science professionals working in India are eligible. At least 10 years' experience is required for the SATKAL National Librarian Award-2025 and the SATKAL Woman Librarian Award-2025.
Two years' experience is needed for the SATKAL School Librarian Award-2025 and the SATKAL Rural Community Librarian Award-2025.
Self-nominations will not be considered, and a person may nominate only one individual for each category. The decision of the SATKAL Awards Committee will be final, and personal phone calls and emails will not be entertained.
Written nominations must include: name of the nominee, job title, organization, mailing address, phone number, email address, award category, a detailed profile highlighting educational qualifications and professional experience, significant contributions in the field of Library and Information Science, publications, and a paragraph (up to one page) justifying the nomination.
The awards include a citation and a memento. These Awards will be given on 18 March 2026 at the READ India Summit 2026 at HOTEL SAKURA BY MAPS GROUP, Plot No. - 2019 P, 1883, Block A, Greenwood City, Sector 45, Gurugram, Haryana.
