S. Jagindar Singh Ramdev has instituted three gold medals in different universities in different subjects. Everyear these awards are given at the Annual Convocation to the meritorious students who stood first in the University exams

1. SATKAL Gold Medal in Library and Information Science at Guru Nanak Dev University , Amritsar ( in memory of his wife Mrs. Satinder Kaur Ramdev )

2. SATKAL Gold Medal in Library and Information Science at Panjab University, Chandigarh (in memory of his father S. Arjan Singh)

3. SATKAL Gold Medal in M. A. in History ( in memory of his mother Smt. Ravel Kaur)
